GM Renewal!!

We are proud to announce that SSCS is going to continue supporting the GM-SPO data centers throughout the United States. EDS is the prime outsourcing firm that was selected by GM to provide IT services for this division and SSCS was selected by EDS to provide the break-fix support. For the last several years SSCS has exceeded the SLA (service level agreement) for this account, while working directly for ACS, who was previously the prime contractor.

We are pleased to have had the opportunity to work with ACS. They are a fine outsourcing firm and company. We look forward to the opportunity to work with them in the future.

We are also very pleased to be working with EDS. EDS is a recognized leader in the outsourcing business and we look forward building a long-lasting, business relationship with them.

This renewal would not have been possible without the excellent work provided by our service department and our accounting department. The levels of support on this account are very demanding and our service department excelled at all levels. There are some very tight uptime requirements that demand coordination and constant monitoring. In particular, we must acknowledge Helen Pissmenti and Darryl Helms for their diligent contract management skills and professionalism in ensuring that the SLAs' were achieved. Our accounting department, headed up by Marci Henderson, also achieved excellence by creating a unique billing system that was required by our customer. They worked hard to ensure that all bills were correct and timely.

There are many other people that are responsible for this renewal. It is the team philosophy that works and not the individual achievements of a few. Congratulations to all and lets show EDS what we are made of!

New Contract In California

Amdocs, headquartered in St. Louis, MO., but primarily based in Ra'anana, Israel, provides CRM, sales and billing software to telecommunication companies and other large companies, and government agencies. Amdocs provides publishing software for creating print and online directories such as the Yellow Pages. The company also offers outsourced customer services and data center operations. In the USA, they provide billing and directory assistance for 90% of the phone companies.

SBC, the telecommunications giant and an Amdocs customer is headquartered in San Antonio, TX., and has offices throughout the United States. SSCS was selected by Amdocs to provide our expert "break-fix" services at a SBC site just outside San Francisco, CA. This new contract increases our presence in Northern California and is our first partnership with Amdocs. We are honored to be partners with Amdocs and look forward building a relationship that grows over time and is mutually beneficial. Amdocs will soon experience our type of service and understand why we are considered on of the best computer services company around.

Our DEC VAX expert, Mike Keating, will be the account service manager and will monitor the account to ensure that the services provided reflect positively on SSCS and Amdocs. Mike is one of our service superstars and has the presence and professionalism to make us shine.

Landing this account proves that SSCS has a reputation for superior service, which attracts large, new accounts. We do not advertise, and therefore, depend on our reputation and our direct sales force to land new accounts. The SSCS sales team is constantly competing against the OEM and other service providers to get our name out in front of the decision makers of large companies and outsourcing firms. Once again, we demonstrate that SSCS is in the game and is one of the best.

University of Illinois & Lillian Vernon Choose SSCS

Our Chicago office gets another revenue boost by winning a bid to maintain IBM equipment at the University of Illinois. The University of Illinois is ranked in the top 50 national universities and has over thirty thousand students. The campus is located about 100 miles south of Chicago. SSCS is currently working on other bids for the University and welcome the opportunity to demonstrate our capabilities. The bid was won, in part, to the diligent efforts of Mark Trahan, sales associate, and Steve Vales, our Chicago based field support engineer.

Lillian Vernon, the White Plains, NY., based house wares and gift cataloger selected SSCS to maintain it's Virginia Beach, VA., data center. This site does much of the printing for the catalogs, which puts a tremendous amount of pressure on our ability to minimize downtime. The sales associate for the account, Derek Dunn, put in a lot of hard work to gain their confidence and to persuade Lillian Vernon to use SSCS. When it came down to a site visit, which is usually the final stage of winning a contract, Keith Taylor was a smash hit. His persona and professionalism is a tribute to the whole service department.

If it weren't for the site visits of Steve Vales and Keith Taylor we may not have be selected by these new customers. Site visits are a key ingredient to winning many of our contracts. It is imperative that the service engineer, who visits the site, is professional and has the personality that engages while projecting confidence. The SSCS service team is comprised of individuals who display these talents and makes winning new business that much easier for the SSCS sales team.
